Strumpshaw Fen

A day at Strumpshaw fen looking for the Willow Emerald Damselfly
found 30ft from the Doctors Garden then back to the fen hide
where 3 water rail chicks running around and a Kingfisher
then to the tower hide to see the Great White Egret that was fishing
all the time I was their.

Was at the hides by 8am watching the birds for a few hours
with Green Common Curlew Sandpipers Red kite Hobby Marsh Harrier

Winterton Dunes

Started a Walk at 7.45am to the Concrete blocks
and back with two small flocks moving around
first with a Treecreeper in them a juv Common Seal
on the Beach

Walking to the seal at Horsey beach
and spotted a Alpine Swift for as little as 20 seconds
heading south over the Dunes.

Started with Migrant Hawkers
then Spotted Flycatcher chased off by a Kestrel
2-3 Marsh Harriers 3-4 Red Kites 3 Kestrel a Buzzard and a Hobby
& a possible Peregrine going for a red kite all distant.
a few merging Dragonflies.
Linnets Yellowhammers Stonechat Green Woodpecker
Skylark a few Grayling Peacock small heath speckled wood meadow brown
large white Gatekeeper.

A few Hours at Strumpshaw fen
not a lot going on here some Swallowtail caterpillars
may be second brood in a few weeks.
Two Little Egrets at fen hide some lizards sunning on walk to hide.
Some fresh Brimstone about today.

Winterton North Dunes

Great to see the Graylings pairing up and its gone from
seeing 6+ to about 100+ in the Dunes with some spots of 20 in a area
first time I seen wings open a lot of fresh Peacocks about 2 silver-washed fritillary
small copper Large white small heath meadow brown.
2 Kestrel's 1 Red kite nice to see Dragon & Damselfly's about
Plus Natterjack Young Toads and tadpoles.
