Bluethroat at Winterton North Dunes
Spent a few hours with the Bluethroat today

Winterton North Dunes
Started early at 6.30am
as rain later more windy than day before birds
staying low down or blown over my head
so a walk down to the concrete blocks and back through
the middle of the Dunes going to the north end
1 Wheatear a Red Kite 2 Marsh harriers 3 kestrel's
long tailed tit flock with great tit and blue a lesser whitethroat.
at the Toad pool 2 Whinchat and a Wheatear then.
Meet Barry with a Pied fly whitethroat 2 Redstarts tree pipit
near totem pole swifts swallows a few house martins and a Hobby.
birds in deep and low down rain starting about 11am. Green sandpiper over calling

Juv Kestrel was not Camera shy at North Dunes this morning
First stop was the Kestrel then Wryneck Redstart and Tree pipit and whinchat

Saw 5 Little stints water rail , Marsh harrier put
the waders up a few times at Bishop's hide.
Moved to Dawke's hide finding the bird's where
more distant kestrel came close one little stint
with 26 Dunlin on Simmond's Scrape.

Started the day with a hour sea watch
with 40+ common scoter going south
8 Eider (S) Sandwich terns (N) Gannets fishing
not as many terns moving today.
In North Dunes 8 stonechat 1 Whinchat 2 Swift
2 Sparrow hawks 2 Kestrel 1 Red kite 2 Marsh Harrier
60 swallows feeding 5 Wheatear 1 Skylark
linnet Green woodpecker.
